Nicolas Cage he was arrested Saturday morning, in New Orleans. The Academy Award-winning actor, was charged with domestic abuse and disturbing the peace after arguing with his wife, Alice Kim, according to the New Orleans Police Department. His wife was trying to prevent him from disturbing the elderly couple who lived in the house. Cage is actually renting a house three doors down, while he is filming a movie in New Orleans. When police arrived, Cage ran a block south toward the river, where he tried to get into a cab," according to a witness. A police officer ordered him out of the cab, and he was arrested. According to an inmate, who said he was in the holding area of the jail with the actor, "He was drunk," adding that Cage spent the evening chatting with sheriff's deputies. "He wasn't in a cell. He was behind the counter with all the other officers.".
The actor was eventually bailed out and is due in court on May 31.
