Los Angeles Police Officers intend to set up a sobriety and driver's license checkpoint Friday night on Van Nuys Boulevard in Pacoima. The checkpoint is scheduled to run from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m. Friday on Van Nuys Boulevard between Osborne and Nordhoff. The checkpoint is funded by a grant from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration through the California Office of Traffic Safety.
Driver's believed to be operating a vehicle under the influence can be arrested and their vehicles can be impounded.
